I find that it works for me when I am very pale as well as when I self-tan; which is incredible! It's NOT one of those products that you see change to your color when you put it on, but it just works somehow. I think it oxidizes differently on different skin because when I swatched it on my hand it became darker and more orange than it has ever been on my face - it's never orangey on me at all!
